Editing

We did our editing on Moday the 9th of Febuary.

It went well but we did face some little problems to start off with. For example, none of us could remember how to get the images off of the camera and onto the computer. This took us a while it find it ut but in the end we asked for help and remembered that it was really easy to do.
Once we got all of the shots onto the computer we started to edit it all toether and it started to come together by about lunchtime. When it came to putting on the titles and the effects, some off us could remember how to do little bits of it, but none of us knew how to do the whole thing. So to get around it we worked together and got it all finished.
We are all very happy with our finished product and think that we should make it into a real film.

Filming

We finally completed our filming, but no without a fair share of problems. the first problem was that one of us was supposed to pick up the camera from school and put it on charge over night. Unfortunately, school was closed on that Monday due to poor weather conditions. This meant that someone had to pick it up on Tuesday mourning before we started to film. We also had to wait about an hour for it to charge. The second problem we had was that our actor did not turn up. We thought that he had sorted everything out with his teachers so that he could get the day off of school to be in our film. It turned out that he did not do that. Our final problem was trying to get the dog in our film to do what we wanted him to do.
While the camera was charging, we started to set up the room a bit and we also did ourselves some breakfast consisting of an omelet and some bacon baps. Once the camera had fully charged we set about sorting out the lighting and finishing off preparing the room. Afterwards, we decided that Stuart would have to be the actor in our film because he is the one that looks old enough to be a Dad. I thought that by having one of us in the film it could possibly create problems for us, but it did not and it worked fine. By 10:30 we were on our way to starting filming our Bafta award winning film. Becky wanted to get the filming over and done with but Me, Stuart and Andrew wanted to look over each shot to see what we should do to make it better. After about 5 takes for the first shot, we had filmed the perfect shot. We carried on like this for all of our shots taking at least 3 takes per shot. When it came to the dog coming into the door it took us a while to try and train the dog to come into the room and lie down in his bed.
After lunch consisting of Pizza, we decided to film the dog coming into the room. We did this because he was getting bored and being distracted so we gave him a rest. So we tried it once more with some food and then after that worked we did it with no food, and it worked near perfectly, but we did another take of it to make sure we get a backup take. Once it was done we carried on filming the rest of the film and getting it all right. The last take we did was the one of the music box slowing down towards the end to symbolise the persons death. By the time we had finished it was just coming up to 3O'clock in the afternoon.
So after 5 hours of filming and discussing and eating, we had finished our thriller introduction and we all thought it was great. But that is 4 peoples views.
All that is left to do now is our editing on Monday the 9th.
